"The best feed for the best food"
When we switched to Hügelland we noticed a significant improvement in the quality of our eggs, as well as increased laying rates in our hens. Today we also exclusively use Hügelland Feeds for our heritage meat chickens and we also supplement our ewes with a custom ration to ensure they have the optimal nutrition to breed and lamb well (our lambs who are destined for processing are grass fed)

"We use the finest non-gmo feed in Texas!
Dear Anne and Zane: We just wanted to drop a note to let you know how pleased we are with your poultry rations. Our pastured turkeys, meat chickens and layers thrive on your feeds. Amazingly we are getting rave reviews about the taste and texture of our birds. We guess we should not be amazed but how often does one feel compelled to express the taste of a chicken? It has to be the feed. We know your philosophy of quality ingredients and your position of no-soy, no-gmo in any of your feeds. That is why we switched to your company. We can raise our birds from day one on your rations. Our customers are repeat customers thanks to you. We feel proud about telling people about the feed you provide. You are helping us grow our business. PS The chickens are happy, too!"

"Hi Anne, Thanks so much for supplying us with such a high quality chicken feed. My hens (6 total) were only laying an average of 3 eggs per day, now I get a full 6 eggs per day with the occasional 5. I was so excited to find a GMO-Free feed that my hens love and doesn't cost as much as the organic feed. The rise in egg production was a big bonus. I would be happy to be a testimonial for you. Let me know when you finish the fish food formula, I can't wait to try it too :) Thanks again, Jacky Mirth"
‘I am using Hugelland Feeds (Non-GMO) since November of 2012, and am having amazing results. The starter feed was superb, very little waste, and no disease in the baby chicks of any kind. As Layers, my 130 chickens give 7-9 Dozen eggs per day, and even in the extreme heat we have had no “lay-off” in production. What’s great is I don’t have to worry about adding specific additives to the feed (as in the past) to keep production going and control disease. The feed has been a complete feed and has met our needs completely. Please understand, our chickens are outside all day and have access to grasses, bugs, etc. in their natural environment in addition to the feed. We do not raise confinement chickens and our chickens sleep at night. I highly recommend Hugelland Layer feed.’

“Hi Callie, I just picked up a bag from Paleface Feed on Saturday. I had been feeding the chickens feed from another feed store in Austin. I opened the Hugelland bag and was blown away by the consistency and color. I put the rest of the other feed in the feeder and some Hugelland on top. They didn't even bother with the old stuff. They went straight for the new stuff, balancing and stretching to get their faces into the top of the feeder. Thanks for making a high quality product that my chickens love. I will never buy anything other than Hugelland feed. Can't wait to see how it affects the eggs.”

"I am currently raising about 50 head of chicks 17 are pure Buff Cornish roosters as broilers. The rest are Golden Sexlink pullets. I started them conventionally, but then found your feed at the Peach Basket in Fredericksburg. I got the layer since it was all they had in 50# sacks and started my chicks on it. They were in a 4x8 rabbit tractor, moved every day to fresh graze. Well as it went, after 10 weeks they were very crowded. We were in the process of building a larger tractor. Normally with that kind of stress the birds would have been pecking one another and there would have been a bloody mess. But everyone of the pullets were finely feathered no picking of feathers. The Cornish, a little slower on the maturity had no loss of feathers or hide, even though they had skin exposed and feathers were coming in. I attribute this to the high level of nutrition ( minerals and lack of chemicals ) that kept the birds satisfied and relatively content in spite of the over crowded conditions. They have since been moved into separate tractors so we can finish our broilers and prepare the pullets for egg production.
This is not my first endeavor at raising chickens. But the quality of the feed has been an eye opening experience. Compared to conventional feed and the problems encountered with it. To trouble free healthy contented birds. I can't wait to taste the results. Thanks "
